New and Exciting Changes to the 2018 Ford F-150

From a quick glance, you may not realize all the changes that exist between a 2017 and 2018 model. However, Ford is always looking to reshape and innovate from the previous vehicle year. For that reason, you'll always discover new features that range from the design, performance, and technology for America's favorite light-duty pickup, the Ford F-150.

The 2018 Ford F-150 makes a bold statement in Van Wert with a new front grille. Ford changed the front grille to bump up the two front grilles to three that sit on top, in the middle, and at the bottom. Speaking of a bold statement, the F-150 will catch the attention of any driver behind them with its newly stamped "F-150" on the tailgate. This is a defining characteristic of the 2018 Ford model that highlights its aggressiveness on the road.

On either side of the front grille, you'll notice a distinguished difference between the headlights. As you look closely, the LED accent lights now outlines the high and low beams. It's all in the details as Ford makes adjustments to the taillights as well! Before, the taillights had a single tracing of upper and lower LED outlines. While it maintains a similar shape, the LED lighting breaks up the taillights into two parts. Drivers can customize their headlights and taillights with 15 different styles! You can also find the Ford F-150 in four new colors this 2018 year.

Dominate the Roads With new Diesel Engines

Ford is well known for the truck's performance. In fact, it's one of the many reasons the 2017 Ford F-150 won a suite of awards such as, "Pickup Truck Best Buy" by 2017 Kelley Blue Book and "Best Truck of the Year" from Autobytel.com. The biggest change is the Ford light-duty truck will be offering a diesel option for the first time. Introducing the 3.0L Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel, this will help build the 2018 Ford F-150 to be prepared for severe-duty service, performance, and durability. If this truck sounds like a winner in your book, our Van Wert Ford finance department will help you get it on the road as soon as possible!

Work Harder, Work Smarter

While you're off to the next job site, upgrade your stereos to Bang & Olufsen audio system. These stereos bring the concert to the interior of your truck and provides a new experience when listening to your favorite music. You can also consider the Ford F-150 as your second office with optional 4G LTE Wi-Fi and SYNC CONNECT®.

Safety is always on the radar for Ford. There are new security systems that all drivers will find extremely beneficial. The new Blind Spot Information System provides coverage while hauling a trailer. It gives you a signal on your outside mirror when a car is detected in your blind spot, along with the trailer you're towing. This system can also be used when backing out of a driveway or parking space as well. You will also find Adaptive Cruise Control that brings the truck to a complete stop! The 2017 Ford would shut off this feature at 12 mph.

As you can see, the Ford F-150 has been revamped in every possible way. Ford continues to provide exciting and essential changes every new model year. To schedule a test drive with the 2018 Ford F-150, please contact us at (855) 430-6924.
