How To Pair Your Phone With Ford SYNC® 3

Looking to use all the awesome features that the Ford SYNC® 3 system has to offer? Our Delphos area Ford dealer has all the information you need to pair your phone up and get rolling with one of the most intuitive infotainment systems in the automotive industry.

Pairing Up Your Phone

First, make sure your Ford is on and in park with your phone in the car. Turn on the Bluetooth® in your phone so the SYNC® 3 can discover it. Simply press the phone icon at the bottom of the touchscreen, select “Add Phone”, and search for SYNC® 3 on your phone.

If your phone supports Simple Secure Pairing, a message box will be displayed on your phone and the SYNC® system will ask you to confirm that the number on your phone matches the one on the screen. After you press Pair on your phone and Yes on your touchscreen, the process is complete.

If your phone does not support Simple Secure Pairing, you will have to enter the 4 digit PIN on the touchscreen in order to pair your phone. Once it is done, the SYNC® touchscreen will tell you that the pairing was successful.

What Can SYNC® 3 Do For Delphos Area Drivers?

SYNC® can do a lot of things that make it easier for you to keep your eyes on the road, like the built-in voice commands, simple music search, and SYNC® AppLink®. Put some of your favorite apps at your fingertips, such as Pandora, NPR One, or even the Domino’s Pizza app so you can order pizza on the go.

Alternatively, stream directly from your phone with the Bluetooth® compatibility and have SYNC® make personalized playlists just for you. Also included in the Bluetooth® capability is the ability to look at or listen whatever is on your phone, whether it is a caller ID, your contact list, or a podcast or audio book.
